Acceptable use policy
Last updated 14 October 2026
1. Who this policy applies to
1.1 This policy is part of the terms of service between EventDrake Limited (EventDrake, we or us) and the business that uses EventDrake (you). Words defined in the terms have the same meaning here.
1.2 It applies to you, your admins, staff and volunteers, and anyone else you let use the service through your tenant. You are responsible for making sure they follow it, and anything they do counts as done by you.
2. Events and content you can’t sell or publish
2.1 You must not use the service to sell, promote or publish any of the events, goods, services or content in this clause. That includes ticket listings, event pages, add-ons, products, images and messages to attendees.
Illegal or deceptive
2.2 Events or activities that are unlawful where they are held or where tickets are sold.
2.3 Fraud, scams, and fake or misleading events, including events that don’t exist, events you have no right to sell, and listings that misdescribe what attendees will get.
Harmful
2.4 Content or events that promote hate against people because of who they are, or that harass or threaten anyone.
2.5 Content or events that promote violence, terrorism or violent extremism.
2.6 Any content or event that sexualises minors.
Restricted goods and gambling
2.7 Illegal drugs, and anything sold to help make or use them.
2.8 Gambling, including lotteries and raffles, unless it is licensed or otherwise lawful where it runs.
2.9 Weapons, or weapon sales, that break the law where you sell them or where the event is held.
Adult events
2.10 Sexual services. You must not sell paid sexual services or pornography through the service, and you must not use an event, ticket or add-on to sell or arrange them.
2.11 Lawful adult events. Events for adults only, including sex-on-premises events, are allowed only if all of these apply:
- the event is lawful where it is held;
- you hold any licence the law requires for the event and its venue;
- you check the age of every attendee before entry. Age verification is your responsibility, as clause 5.8 of the terms sets out; and
- you publish a consent and conduct policy before tickets go on sale, and attendees agree to it when they book.
2.12 Stripe’s rules. An adult event that this policy allows may still be prohibited or restricted by Stripe. Clause 4 applies, and if Stripe won’t process payments for your event, we can’t arrange a way around that.
Rights and sanctions
2.13 Content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property, or that is defamatory.
2.14 Events, sales or payments involving countries, organisations or people subject to sanctions that apply to you or to us.
3. First-party sales only
3.1 EventDrake is for first-party sales. You may sell tickets only for events you run, or for events the organiser has authorised you to sell.
3.2 You must not use the service for secondary ticketing or resale of tickets bought elsewhere, even where local law allows it.
4. Your payment provider’s rules
4.1 Payments go through your own Stripe account, as clause 6 of the terms sets out. Stripe’s list of prohibited and restricted businesses applies on top of this policy.
4.2 You must check that list for your events and products before you sell. Something this policy allows may still be one that Stripe prohibits or restricts.
5. Using the platform
5.1 You must not:
- scrape or harvest data from the service or from other organisers’ event sites;
- run load, performance or security tests against the service without our written consent;
- use the service to test stolen or unauthorised payment cards;
- upload or send malware, or anything designed to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service or anyone’s devices;
- get around usage limits, security controls or billing;
- resell, sublicense or share access to the service, except to the admins, staff and volunteers working on your events; or
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you are or who you act for.
6. Using attendee data
6.1 Collect only the attendee data your event needs.
6.2 Email attendees only about the event they booked, or about other things where they have agreed to hear from you.
6.3 You must not sell attendee data or give it to anyone for their own marketing.
6.4 Our data processing agreement and privacy policy set out how the service handles attendee data.
7. Reporting a problem
7.1 Anyone who thinks an event, listing or tenant breaks this policy can tell us at hello@eventdrake.net. Include a link to the page and a short description of the problem.
7.2 We may pass a report to the organiser concerned. We will keep the reporter’s name out of it if they ask, unless the law requires otherwise.
8. Enforcement
8.1 If you break this policy, we may:
- warn you;
- remove or disable content or listings;
- suspend your account for a serious breach, as clause 7 of the terms sets out; or
- terminate your account, as clause 19 of the terms sets out.
8.2 Our response will be in proportion to the problem. We will give you notice first and, where the problem can be fixed, a chance to fix it, unless the matter is urgent or unlawful.
8.3 We may report unlawful activity to the police or other authorities.
