Payments
Your ticket money goes straight to you
Many ticketing companies collect your sales, hold the money and pay you after the event. EventDrake doesn't. You take payments through your own Stripe account, so funds land with you on Stripe's normal payout schedule.
How it works
- 01
Connect Stripe
Create a new Stripe account from your admin, link the one you already have, or use your own API keys if your setup needs it.
- 02
Sell
Cards taken at checkout, charges you make from an order, and refunds all run through your account.
- 03
Get paid
Stripe pays out to your bank on your account's schedule. Payouts and disputes are handled in your Stripe dashboard.
Ways to take payment
Card at checkout
Attendees pay by card when they book.
Card holds
Place a hold on a card and charge it later, as pre-fill does before sales open.
Saved cards
Attendees can keep a card on file so you can charge for extras later without asking again.
Pay later
Let trusted groups and companies book now and pay by a due date. Overdue orders are tracked for you.
Manual payments
Record bank transfers, cash or EFTPOS taken outside the system against the order.
Refunds
Refund in full or in part, and keep a retained fee if your terms allow it.
What EventDrake charges
Our platform fees are separate from your ticket money. We invoice them monthly and charge them automatically to your card, so nothing is taken out of your sales. Stripe charges its own processing fees on your account. See pricing for our rates, including the cap on fees for high-value tickets.
Stripe
Stripe is our payments partner. Your account stays yours: if you move on, you keep your Stripe account, your customers’ payment history and your payouts.
