Accessibility statement

Last updated 14 October 2026

This statement from EventDrake Limited covers the pages people use to find an event, book, pay and manage their bookings. It says what we aim for, what we already do, where we fall short, and how to tell us when something doesn’t work for you.

1. Our target

1.1 Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA. It is a target we work towards. We don’t claim that every page meets it today.

1.2 The target covers the pages attendees use:

  • eventdrake.net, our own website;
  • event sites, the public pages organisers run their events from;
  • checkout;
  • my-account, where attendees manage their bookings and details; and
  • self-service kiosks, when they launch.

2. What we do

2.1 We list here only practices we have checked in the product or in this website.

2.2 On eventdrake.net:

  • every page is checked with automated accessibility tests whenever we propose a change to the site; and
  • a skip link lets keyboard users jump past the navigation to the main content, and a test checks that it works.

2.3 On event sites, checkout and my-account:

  • text on coloured backgrounds, such as buttons and cards, has its colour calculated for contrast against that background;
  • the organiser’s theme editor warns when a colour pairing has low contrast;
  • keyboard focus is shown with a visible outline;
  • animations are cut short if your device is set to reduce motion; and
  • badge name and legal name are separate fields, so the name printed on a badge or shown to others doesn’t have to be your legal name.

3. Staff tools

3.1 The organiser admin, the hub and the check-in tools are used by trained staff working for our customers. They are complex tools. We build them to be usable, but they aren’t held to the target in clause 1.

4. Known limitations

4.1 Organiser content. Organisers write their own event pages, descriptions, images and questions, and choose their own theme colours. We can’t control that content. The theme editor warns about low contrast, but an organiser can still publish colours or images that are hard to read.

4.2 No formal audit. No independent third party has audited the service against the target yet.

5. Feedback

5.1 If something on eventdrake.net or an event site doesn’t work for you, email us at hello@eventdrake.net. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. We usually reply within two working days.

5.2 If the problem is with an event itself, such as venue access or what an event page says, the organiser is the best person to contact, as they run the event and write its pages.

6. For organisers

6.1 Publish access information for your venue, such as step-free entry, accessible toilets and parking, so attendees can plan before they book.

6.2 Check that your theme colours and images are readable, and act on any contrast warning the theme editor shows. Keep important details in text rather than only in an image.
